Busy Bee Diner (7345 49th Street) is soon to open a second location at 2552 Sunset Point Road in Clearwater. While an exact opening date has not been officially announced, you can expect Busy Bee Diner’s second location to open sometime this June.

The new location will be serving up the same delicious diner classics at affordable prices as their flagship location in Pinellas Park. Owner and chef, Pete Papaioannou, says, “With inflation and constant supplier cost increases, we have managed to keep our pricing affordable and modest. We serve meal options ranging from $6 to $30.”

At Busy Bee Diner, affordability doesn’t mean low quality. “I don’t cut corners to save on product quality,” says Pete. “Our soups are freshly made daily. Our turkey is roasted fresh for the turkey clubs. We have fresh roast beef, pulled pork, and pork for our Cuban pressed sandwich.”

Busy Bee is one of the best value restaurants in Pinellas Park and Clearwater. They serve breakfast and lunch staples daily, Mon-Sun, 7am–2:30pm. But when you dine here, save room for dessert, because Pete’s primary passion is for pastries. An afternoon television show in Bowling Green Kentucky featured Pete demonstrating his New York-style cheesecake, a recipe he brought with him down to Florida.

Besides New York-style cheesecake, Pete is equally deft at whipping up raspberry rugelach, cheese danishes, scratch brownies, and oh so much more.
