New luxury residences, restaurant and café announced for Grand Central District

As the Grand Central District becomes a more and more popular neighborhood for locals to enjoy, a half block in the heart of the historic neighborhood is about to bring some incredible new options to the table. MTBH Studios announced today the upcoming Ad Lofts at 2250 Central Avenue, which will include a small collection of luxury homes and a new restaurant and café on the ground floor.

MTBH Studios is the team behind the sold out 2700 Central homes, which will house Porcelanosa on the ground floor. I Love the Burg recently got a tour of these units, which are nearing completion, and with Ad Lofts being imagined under a similar design, we’re confident these units will go quick.

With soaring ceilings, functional design, three bedrooms, and massive sliding glass doors opening to balconies overlooking the streets, the six new residences more than meet the expectations of urban luxury. A key part of the design for the three-story homes is that they fit the ambiance and retain the character of the eclectic and welcoming district, including exterior architecture that blends in to the neighborhood.

Inside Ad Lofts, soaring 20-foot ceilings will be framed by massive 10-foot-tall sliding glass doors. Coupled with a skylit light shaft, this leaves the space bathed in natural light. The expansive walls will be perfect for displaying art, with rooms lit by a system of purposefully-designed, dramatic architectural lighting with smart controls.

“Each home at Ad Lofts will be a heavily-curated design experience and a unique architectural statement,” said Richard McGinniss, owner and founder of MTBH Studios. “Nothing remotely like Ad Lofts is being offered in this market.”

As the neighborhood grows in popularity, with new businesses popping up on an almost weekly basis, we’re happy to see a local group taking efforts to retain the character of Grand Central while delivering the high quality product it deserves.

Of course, what many in the neighborhood may be most excited for will be on the floor below the new residences. Christophe Guillot and Philippe Challeau, the team responsible for Bacchus Wine Bistro, are opening a new restaurant concept that is sure to be a hit. While we await details on that endeavor, we can only imagine what they may cook up. And in addition to the full-service restaurant, they also plan to open a café on the ground floor.

Those destinations will of course be open to the public, though MTBH Studios noted that those who live in Ad Lofts will get an additional discount, one of the many perks of the new homes.

Construction has not yet begun on the Ad Lofts structure, so stay tuned to I Love the Burg as the timeline develops.
