Jax In and Out Cafe is situated in a bustling strip plaza on Gulfport Boulevard South. It’s a blink and you’ll miss it gem that I encourage you to go out of your way to experience it. This spot is slinging some of the finest sandwiches in the region, and the cafe also includes a food pantry to help out those most in need.
Back in 2022 the neighborhood hub expanded its location at 4928 Gulfport Blvd. S. Owner Jax Taylor has gone above and beyond to serve good eats to Gulfport, and is emblematic of the flourishing culinary community ever present in Gulfport.

The people are the ambiance at Jax in Gulfport
One reviewer, Angela S., put it perfectly on Yelp. “The people and the service ARE THE AMBIANCE, but whether you eat in or take it to go, the food is what you come back for over and over again.”
The menu has included chili dogs, omelet burritos, dirty rice with baked beans, avocado toast, classic tuna and egg salads, muffins and more breakfast and lunch essentials. They’re also known for their biscuits and gravy, and I’ve read rave reviews about their pressed Cuban sandwich.
