Happy hour, meet yappy hour. Wags & Wine, a company founded by a St. Pete couple, is delivering play time for dogs and humans alike with their revolutionary subscription service bringing the goods for everyone in the house.

After too many nights of skipping post-work happy hour so they wouldn’t have to leave their dog at home alone even longer, the couple behind Wags & Wine was inspired to find a solution. Now, their monthly subscription boxes are being delivered nationwide, packed full of wines for the humans from small and boutique wineries, and high-end dog treats (and toys) for their furry loved ones made by small businesses with limited ingredients, offering treats you can feel good about.

After two years of growth, and with a wide array of subscriptions and build-your-own boxes available, Wags & Wine is the ultimate subscription box for the dog crazed wine enthusiast

While the idea is straightforward – wine plus dog treats equals a happy household – Wags & Wine goes far beyond the basics and serves up treats that people can feel good about, whether for themselves or their dogs. Sourcing goods from smaller producers – largely those with organic practices – Wags & Wine delivers quality in every box for human and dogs alike.

Leaning on their network of relationships with boutique winemakers in Northern California and others across the globe, Wags & Wine sources bottles from mostly boutique and small producers, many of which can only be found at the wineries themselves. As these small vintners don’t typically produce more than a few hundred cases of each wine, the subscription service offers previously unheard-of access to wines you can’t find locally.

While the company bases its operations out of Santa Rosa and Sonoma, they offer far more than just California wines. Wags & Wine curates a variety of unique, hidden gems, ranging from small vineyards and styles on the West Coast to varietals from all over the world including Australia, Italy, Spain, France, South America and South Africa. In fact, Wags & Wine even introduced its own wine – Hair of the Dog Wines, which they make in California with the help of an Italian winemaker.

As for the puppy goodies, Wags & Wine sources from dog treat companies that you can’t find at big box grocers or pet supply stores, placing an emphasis on great taste, nutrition and health benefits. They find treats you can feel good about, that make your dog feel good.

In fact, they now make their own dog “chowcuterie” boards that you can get individually or select in build-your-own boxes that feature 12-16 different single ingredient proteins and healthy cookies.

Wags & Wine bridges gap between wine clubs and pet products

Just like all dogs – and owners – have their own personality, Wags & Wine has options for any interested wino or tail wagger. In addition to curated-for-you subscription boxes, they also offer one-time (non-renewing) gift boxes, and the build-your-own box option has become increasingly popular. In the build-your-own, you’ll select from around 60 wines made with sustainable, natural, organic, and biodynamic practices, and then pick out from favorites from the 40+ dog treats including chews, bones, toys, cookies and more.

There are two curated versions of the subscription boxes – the Classic and the Premium – and each box comes with two bottles of wine and between two and four dog products, depending on your subscription. You can also look forward to the, at least quarterly, free gift that gets thrown in when something fun comes along, and also free gifts for new subscribers and gift boxes!

The Classic box delivers wines for the “Engaged Explorer,” offering unintimidating and always tasty everyday selections. The Premium box, designed for the “Loyal Enthusiast,” curates handcrafted wines from the finest boutique producers.

We also recommend checking out their apparel page. In addition to plenty of Wags & Wine swag, their Dog Milf and Dog Dilf t-shirts are constantly selling out.
