Among the state’s hundreds of cities and towns, tens of thousands of restaurants await hungry Floridians in search of satiation. And while sometimes any old meal will do, it’s certainly nice to really make the meal worth the time and money.
From that gigantic list of eateries, Yelp compiled reviews, ratings, and more to determine which destinations truly stood out. On their list of the Top 100 Florida Restaurants of 2023, four different St. Pete spots made the cut to be considered the best of the best.

The highest rank among local establishments, perhaps unsurprisingly, went to Mazzaro’s, the longtime St. Pete staple. A new south Miami restaurant earned the No. 1 overall spot, as Pla-Tu Sushi, Thai and Tapas took first place. Here are the St. Pete spots to make the cut.

Attentive readers may recall that Uptown Eats earned top 25 billing on Yelp’s list of the 100 best restaurants in the country for 2023. We’re not entirely sure how it checked in lower in the state than it did in the entire country, but we’ll trust their analytics on this one, and we’re still stopping in for a breakfast sandwich either way.
