Out with the old, in with the new! Bishop Lounge on 260 1st Avenue North in the Jannus Complex is being replaced by Yard of Ale, a fun little bar specializing in craft brews. With the recent demise of Bishop Lounge, MacDinton’s needed a new neighbor. As it turns out, their old friend Yard of Ale will be joining them at the Jannus Live Complex for a rip-roarin’ good time.
Like MacDinton’s, Yard of Ale originated in South Tampa. This pub boasts over 20 craft and import drafts on tap, and 75 different bottled beers to choose from. Not a beer drinker? They’ve got wine available as well, by the glass or the bottle.

“Oh yeah, we’re really excited,” said MacDinton’s management, “It’s going to be a good time.”
Yard of Ale promises to be quite the spot. In their Tampa location, they offered a wide array of board games and Yard games. Life-sized Jenga and Connect Four? Sounds like our kind of place. Their Facebook page claims extensive patio space will be made available for those warm summer nights. Who’s ready?
Yard of Ale plans to open to the public in the next three months.
