Wine loft near the Old Northeast eyes spring 2019 opening

St.  Pete is for wine lovers. That much is evident with the recent opening of Bacchus St. Pete and the expansion of Try Wine downtown.  Introducing next, Must Wine Loft, a 700 square foot laundromat-turned-wine and charcuterie shop at 442 2nd Street North.

It’s set to open in spring of this year. Must Wine’s advantageous location near The Palladium is sure to make it a go-to pit spot for those headed to concerts, lectures and performances at the historic arts venue.

Vermouth cocktails galore

What wine can you expect? The Appellation-driven wine program is meant to compliment the array of cheeses and charcuterie on the menu.

Visitors will also be treated to meticulously crafted vermouth cocktails. From the website: “We’ve selected aromatic vermouths that pair with our conservas, served traditionally with ice, housemade soda, and an orange or lemon peel, or as the main ingredient in our reconstructed classic cocktails.”

Don’t fret, this spot will also carry your favorite craft beers to go along with the tapas and pinxtos.

Owner Jessica Jane Arkwright has more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry — and wow is her resume impressive.

Bootstrapping foodie concepts in St. Pete since 2012

She curated and managed the wine, vermouth cocktail, and local beer program at Locale Market/FarmTable Cucina. Arkwright also worked for the Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant, SEPIA, in Chicago.

When she moved to the Burg back in 2012, she launched an organic catering company, Farm to Fork Organics, and the community farmers market, EDGE District Market.

Arkwright’s travels in Spain have influenced and inspired the selections that will be available at the soon to open wine loft.

Opening in Spring 2019
