Wildflower Ice Cream will debut early next year in the heart of St. Pete at 2603 9th St. N, right next to the future home of Violet Stone Pizza. They will offer both dairy and non-dairy options to meet your dietary needs. Using premium ice cream as a base, they will hand-blend and make each treat to order with your choice of ingredients.
Sarah and Steve McGarry, owners of Wildflower, have a family of their own. Like all families, they are a single unit made up of individuals with unique needs. One of their children has lactose intolerance, but they still want to enjoy a creamy treat together. This desire drives their commitment to providing high-quality options for every dietary need. They aim to create an ice cream shop that truly reflects the needs of the community.

St. Pete’s newest family-owned sweet shop
Wildflower will step in to fill the void left in the Crescent Lake Park neighborhood after Dairy Inn, which operated for 76 years, closed last year. “We saw that families were looking for alternatives after Dairy Inn shut down. That was really the spark for us to start Wildflower, to help families who didn’t want to go all the way downtown,” they shared.
Ideally located near Crescent Lake and Coffee Pot Park, Wildflower will be the perfect spot to cool down after a day of exploring the parks. Teaser images of their ice cream on the website have us eagerly awaiting Wildflower’s debut in 2025, and we’ll follow their story as the shop comes together.
