West St. Pete Surge: Two Graces, Crumb Factory coming soon to the Sunshine City

West St. Pete Surge: Two Graces, Crumb Factory coming soon to the Sunshine City

2 Graces Restaurant

The Crumb Factory (5701 Central Avenue) and Two Graces Restaurant (6001 Central Avenue) will open soon in West St. Petersburg.

West St. Pete is quickly becoming one of the most delicious areas in the Sunshine City. Craft Kafe and Side Door Deli (an authentic NY-style deli) already delight diners on a daily basis. Dead Bob’s remains one of the top burger joints in all of Tampa Bay. freeFall Theatre is one of the key cultural institutions in the entire region. Soon, two more concepts will join the booming area, Crumb Factory and Two Graces Restaurant.

The best bread in the ‘Burg

The Crumb Factory first started as a cottage kitchen concept — and I was first made aware of it in the St. Pete Socially Distanced Supper Club, a local group dedicated to supporting area restaurants. Owners Pablo Mardones and Felipe Zavala initially offered direct to door delivery via Instagram DM. The artisanal loaves are enchanting, and homage to Chile’s serious bread culture.

The Crumb Factory has made everything from fresh sourdough loaves and fig and walnut bread, to massive chocolate croissants. Sandwiches, tasty breakfast options, and tasty pastries will also be on the menu.

An opening timeline for the new dedicated bakery at 5701 Central Avenue (the former Rae Rae’s Cafe) is still TBA, but a conservative estimate says it should open before the end of April. Follow Crumb Factory on Instagram for updates, and to browse through a gallery of its gorgeous breads.

St. Pete’s own secret garden

Two Graces is set to take over the former Reading Room space in St. Petersburg. Just one glance at the outdoor gardens will let you know that this is bound to be the most gorgeous restaurant in the entire city.

Two Graces will place a heavy emphasis on outdoor dining experiences. This restaurant comes from the same team behind the renowned Grace Restaurant on St. Pete Beach, and Gracie Pasta and Provisions in the EDGE District.

Diners can expect to enjoy the same handcrafted pasta dishes they’ve come to love, in addition to pizza straight from a wood-burning oven on-site.

Veggies grown on premisses

Fresh herbs and veggies grown on premise will be infused into the menu. The owners have recently showcased red and flat kale, mint, broccoli, daikon radishes and more. You can keep up with everything that’s going on in the gardens on Instagram.
