FloridaRAMA is a one-of-a-kind arts experience in Tampa Bay

A new production from a local favorite isn’t just keeping St. Pete weird – it’s making things even weirder, and we can’t wait to experience it. St. Pete’s American Stage announced it is hosting performances of “Weird in St. Pete” this fall, an immersive play taking guests inside the breathtaking FloridaRAMA art experience in the Warehouse Arts District.

Helen. R. Murray is the iconic creative mind behind this one-of-a-kind performance that blends stage performance with real-world interaction. Directed by Anthony Gervais, the play takes place inside the FloridaRAMA Experience, creating a guided group experience that promises to be the wackiest 30 minutes you’ll have all year.

From October 24 – November 3, performances will take place on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6-9 pm, and Sundays from 2-6 pm. New experiences begin each 30 minutes, and tickets are available here. We recommend scooping yours up quickly, as time slots will be highly sought after. Of note, the show is for ages 16+.

Adding to the allure and mystery of the new production, American Stage has remained coy in its description of Weird in St. Pete. Clearly, they are keeping the secrets and surprises under lock and key, helping to create what will be one of the most unexpected plays the city’s performing arts scene has experienced.

What has been promised, however, is that the show will pay homage to the weirdest and wackiest of St. Pete’s past and present. The wild ride through The FloridaRAMA Experience will not only be a showcases of the immersive exhibition of Florida artists, but will bring to life some of the most well-known (and not so well-known) characters in St Pete folklore.

Learn more about Weird in St. Pete and get tickets here. The FloridaRAMA Experience is located at 2606 Fairfield Avenue South.
