Two Frank Lloyd Wright Inspired Homes Discovered in the Burg

Two Frank Lloyd Wright Inspired Homes Discovered in the Burg

Frank Lloyd Wright is known for his remarkable mid-century modern homes, and two Frank Lloyd Wright inspired gems have been found right here in St. Pete. The first home is located on the Renaissance Vinoy Resort Golf Course in Snell Isle built back in 1961. Mid-century modern architecture lovers know that integration with nature, large windows, and open floor plans are what mid-century modern design is all about. The architect of the home, Sanford Goldman, was one of the very few people who actually got the chance to study under Frank Lloyd Wright, and it certainly shows in the architecture. That’s not the only remarkable home that was found though! St. Petersburg’s Bahama Shores also has a home that is a mid-century modern lovers paradise. This home has access to Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, you can’t get much more integrated with nature than that. This home was designed by Albert Reese and although Reese didn’t get the chance to study under Frank Lloyd Wright himself he certainly made sure that the FLW legacy lived on. This home is equipped with a private oasis on a 1/3 acre lot, mitered glass windows, and a seamless indoor-outdoor design flow that would certainly make Mr. Wright proud.
