Tropicana Field Adds Pipo’s, Green Bench to its Roster

Ahead of the official start of the 2016 MLB season, Tropicana Field has announced that it will be adding a few elite Tampa Bay treats to elevate their concession game.

First on the list is Pipo's. The restaurant recently won Best Alternative Cuban Sandwich at the Cuban Sandwich festival in Tampa, and continues to wow diners at their to-go spot at 8 – 4th Street North. They'll be serving their iconic Cubans, fried plantains and more right at centerfield. They'll join other local favorites Ricky P's Orleans Bistro and Taco Bus, adding to the foodie allure of the Rays games.

"We're really excited about the new variety and the fresh new look," said Centerplate General Manager John Cirelli. "There are even more options, from local favorites Pipo's and Ducky's to seafood and Cuban specialties, that are all part of a focus on providing a local and authentic experience."

Evan Longoria's Ducky's will debut this season, too. Visitors will be able to enjoy crab cakes, wraps and hearty salads. The Tampa Bay Rays partnered with the award-winning and ever popular Green Bench Brewing Company to create 2-Seam Blonde Ale.

"We wanted to celebrate Tampa Bay's award winning craft beer industry," said Bill Walsh, Rays Vice President of Strategy and Development. "We partnered with Green Bench, located just steps from Tropicana Field, to create a light, crisp and fresh blonde ale that anyone can enjoy."

Also joining the Tropicana concessions roster is Ybor Dog, which will feature a signature Kayem all-beef jumbo hot dog with picadillo sauce, as well as chili-cheese dogs topped with bacon and BBQ dogs with pulled BBQ pork.
