It’s been a long journey for the anticipated Museum of the American Arts + Crafts Movement. But its official debut is now imminent. The 5-story, 90,000 square foot museum, set to be one of the largest in the entire region, will have a permanent collection comprised of 1,300 objects collected by Pinellas entrepreneur Rudy Ciccarello.
The museum will also have gallery space for special exhibitions, a lecture hall, a children’s education center, a gift shop, a cafe and a restaurant.

There will also be, according to the Two Red Roses Foundation, a reference library that will have an important and comprehensive collection of books and catalogs on the American Arts and Crafts Movement.
When it opens it will join a bustling museum scene in St. Pete. The Imagine Museum, the St. Pete Sculpture Museum, and the new Chihuly Collection on Central Avenue have only served to complement institutions like The Dali and Museum of Fine Arts.
