It’s official—Tiki Tim’s Bar and Grill is growing again. Just one year after opening their first location in St. Petersburg, co-owners Shani Eskridge, Renee Reese, Sean Killie, and Timothy Eskridge are gearing up to unveil a massive new sister location in Pinellas Park, Tiki Tim’s TU. The new space, set to open in early August, is double the size of their original spot, boasting 5,500 square feet of entertainment, dining, and community fun. Tiki Tim’s TU is at 9711 66th Street N and will tentatively open the first week of August.

The new location will feature two bars. The smaller one will serve as private rental space and stage large monthly bands. The larger main bar will be complete with games like darts as well as a jukebox to set the mood. Guests can expect monthly live bands on the main stage and smaller performances on the regular, making it a lively spot for gatherings of all kinds.

Authentic fare from Philly and Maryland

While the expanded space offers plenty of new features, Tiki Tim’s TU remains committed to its core concept remains intact. Fans can still enjoy their authentic Philly Cheesesteaks and Maryland crab cakes, but the new menu will also introduce a variety of sandwiches, burgers, and pastas, with plans to integrate these new dishes into the original location.

“We’ve grown a lot … we just celebrated our one year,” says Shani. “We never imagined we’d be opening a new location this soon, but we’ve had to turn people away because we didn’t have the seating capacity.”

Preview party scheduled for June 21

Ahead of the grand opening, ownership and staff are hosting a preview party at their St. Pete location (923 72nd Street N) on June 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. The event will give Pinellas Park residents a chance to meet the owners, sample the menu, and get a feel for the Tiki Tim’s TU vibe.

Happy hour enthusiasts will also be thrilled to learn that Tiki Tim’s famous Loaded Bloody Marys will carry over to the new location. Their most over-the-top creation features an Italian hoagie slider, shrimp skewer, snow crab cluster, two donuts, salami, and bacon—and it comes with a traditional Bloody Mary to sip on while you wait for your masterpiece to be prepared.

Building community through good times

For Shani, Renee, Sean, and Timothy, Tiki Tim’s TU is about more than just great food and drinks. “We’re really excited to be part of the [Pinellas Park] community,” says Shani. “There’s a need for a neighborhood-type bar, and we want to give everyone a nice place to hang out.”

In addition to offering a welcoming space for locals, the owners are planning to host regular fundraisers and community events at the new location, further solidifying their role as a hub for connection and good times.

With its larger footprint and commitment to community, Tiki Tim’s TU is poised to become a must-visit destination. Mark your calendars for their early August opening and get ready to experience everything you love about Tiki Tim’s—on a grander scale. Follow Tiki Tim’s TU on Facebook.
