The Chicken Spot has opened at 1124 Central Avenue in St. Pete. The restaurant serves up 5 different fried chicken sandwiches, two fresh chicken wraps, a variety of wings and more. Fried chicken can be replaced with grilled chicken on any of the sandwiches — and every sandwich is served on a fresh pretzel roll.
Chris Viso, Founder and CEO of Queens Hospitality, created the fast casual restaurant from nostalgia, according to The Chicken Spot website.

A concept built on nostalgia
“Looking to recreate his favorite chicken sandwich he grew up eating from his local bodega in Queens, New York, Viso envisioned creating a quick-service restaurant that felt like home.”
The Chicken Spot has a strong following in Miami where it was first launched, and droves of eager patrons in St. Petersburg seemed to share the enthusiasm as the concept soft launched the weekend of April 24.
