The Chelsea St. Pete, a cherished local coffee shop known for its eclectic variety of goods and cozy ambiance, is set to close on June 16. The owners made the announcement on Instagram over the weekend. Located at 2462 5th Ave S, the cafe has been a vibrant part of the St. Pete community, frequently hosting local markets and even tea time experiences.

One commenter asked for the official final date. In reply, the Chelsea St. Pete team responded: “Sunday 6/16 will be it. 😢 Then we will be packing and selling furniture. A new business is set to open after us. I hope it’s good…Sunday 6/16 for coffee. Then we may be selling furniture, etc for a few days.”

The interior of The Chelsea has always been a draw, with its fabulous and artsy English cottage vibe, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere for all who visited. The courtyard was a particularly popular hangout spot during the winter and spring, offering a perfect place for friends and family to gather.

In light of its impending closure, The Chelsea will be selling its art and furniture. It’s a bittersweet opportunity for fans of the cafe to take home a piece of their favorite local spot.

The community is encouraged to visit The Chelsea before it closes its doors for good and to show some love and appreciation for all that it has contributed to the city of St. Pete.
