After spending 5 years in the Big Apple, Treasure Island native Alison Billias settled on the ‘Burg in 2009 to complete her Masters in Elementary Education at USF St. Petersburg.
Soon bound for the tiny republic of Cyprus, where she’ll teach English and American studies on a Fulbright Scholarship, she describes her style as “Bobo chic,” referring to the combination that is part bohemian, part bourgeois.

“I’m inspired by the styles of different decades,” she says. That includes everything from Seattle grunge plaid to 40s style accessories and “never underestimating the power of a strong shoe!”
As for shopping in the ‘Burg, Alison says Central Ave’s Little Brooklyn Vintage is a recent discovery that’s worth checking out.
