Fresh made pizzas and breads baked in house are staples at the Skyway Marina District’s newest foodie haven, Stoned Pizza.

The restaurant just announced that its grand opening will be on Tuesday, March 12 from 3:30-10pm in the Marina Plaza at 4801 34th Street South.

The new spot for Italian munchies in the Burg

Stoned Pizza’s sprawling menu features plenty to munch on. Their signature chicken alfredo pie made with white sauce and fresh basil is a total upgrade from your atypical pizza dinner. The Jari, a pizza featuring white sauce, fig, prosciutto, gorgonzola cheese and scallions harmonizes sweet and . savory flavors for a pizza that’s as much a dessert as it is an entree.

All of Stoned Pizza’s creations are topped with mozzarella, asiago and parmesan cheeses. If you’re customizing your own pie, we highly recommend you add the marinated artichokes — pure veggie perfection.

Massive salads on the menu

Salad is a full on meal here. We’re serious. Go ahead and sink your teeth into the BBQ beef salad. It’s made with seasoned pulled beef smothered in BBQ sauce, topped with melted cheese, tomato, sauteed mushrooms, red onions and pepperoni on a bed of mixed greens.

If you do nothing else on your visit, please indulge in their fresh baked sour dough bread.

For dessert, keep it simple. We’re talking a crunchy, creamy cannoli. Yes, it’s filling, but this is a “treat yourself” kind of restaurant so we won’t judge.
