Florida Governor Ron Desantis announced he will sign a stay-at-home order for the state that will go into effect at midnight on April 2. This does not apply to those providing or seeking essential services.

This is designed to limit movements and personal interactions outside the home. Residents will still be able to walk their pets, and get exercise close to home, as long as they adhere to CDC guidelines regarding social distancing.

A list of businesses deemed essential will be released shortly, the Governor also noted if there are other businesses not listed that might be considered essential, they could be added to the list pending review.

We will update this story with more information as its made available.

No details yet on what penalties might be imposed on those residents who violate the order.
