The St. Pete Youth Farm and Gallerie 909 are teaming up to host the 10th Annual Kwanzaa St. Pete Celebration on the first night, Umoja (unity), December 26. The event runs from 5pm-8pm at the youth farm (1650 12th St S).
According to event organizers, Umoja stresses the importance of maintaining togetherness for the family and the community. “This is reflected in the African Proverb: I AM because WE are,” write organizers on the official event page.
