St. Pete resident launches #CarryOutStPete to support local restaurants and hospitality workers

The Sunshine City comes together, even when we’re maintaining proper social distance. St. Pete resident Brady Diggs is looking to bring together business leaders in Tampa Bay to join the #CarryOutStPete campaign.

“I ask that you join me, Modern Business Associates, the St Pete Chamber, the Greater St. Petersburg Area EDC, and other local business leaders in supporting the #CarryOutStPete campaign that will run back-to-back Fridays starting March 20,” wrote Diggs in an email to I Love the Burg.

The mission of #CarryOutStPete is to provide a stimulus to local hospitality groups by placing bulk carry out orders as they work to overcome current COVID-19 circumstances that is limiting their ability to operate. Several local employers are utilizing food delivery services to provide meals to their teams who are working remote or on-site.

Over 500 meals have been committed thus far.  Diggs is now asking for others to consider joining the campaign this Friday and next as they help St. Petersburg restaurants and their employees during this challenging time.

According to Diggs, there is also talk that some of our amazing craft breweries will be opening Thursday for carry out orders.  We ask that you refer to the specific brewery’s social medial channels for details.
