As fall arrives, so too do outdoor events in St. Pete. This weekend marks the return of a family-friendly favorite, as Flicks and Food Trucks returns to the St. Pete Pier, a monthly series showing blockbuster films on the big screen by the water.
The series launches this Friday, October 16, with a screening of Wicked For Good at 7:30 pm. The series takes place every Third Friday, with the exception of a couple Thursdays, and it is completely free to attend. Each night will also feature rotating food trucks. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to get food and drink, and all are welcome to bring chairs and blankets. The screenings take place in Family Park on the St. Pete Pier, with one exception.

Additional food and drink is available from the St. Pete Pier’s usual vendors and restaurants, and as always, attendees can bring their own snacks. The only alcoholic beverages permitted are ones purchased on the Pier.
The move lineup itself offers something for everyone. Families with younger kids can look forward to colorful animated films like Toy Story 5, while millennials may appreciate screenings of Home Alone and Back to the Future. Marvel fans won’t want to miss Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and music lovers will get their kicks from La La Land and Wicked. With such a mix of new releases and timeless favorites, it’s easy to find a night that fits your crew.
