A new monthly market is filling in a gap in St. Pete’s dining and shopping scene. Edward Leonard launched The St. Pete Night Bazaar this month, a night market at Savant on Second full of the area’s best food and vintage vendors.
The inspiration behind the market came from the lack of open restaurants on Mondays in the downtown area, a hole that Leonard intends to fill with The St. Pete Night Bazaar. The festive evening affair was a hit in its maiden night, with more than two dozen vendors and 250+ attendees at the sparkling Savant on Second event venue.

Included in this celebration of all things local is live music performed as the backdrop to all the festivities.
The next St. Pete Night Bazaar takes place this coming Monday, May 8, from 5-9 pm at 634 2nd Avenue South. The rotating cast of chefs and vendors includes vintage clothing, art, jewelry, desserts and baked goods, plants, candles and other home décor.
“The deliciousness about community is the unity of this wonderful city that can be found at the St. Pete Night Bazaar,” said Bob Devin Jones, Co-founder, and Artistic Director at The Studio@620.

Savant on Second is St. Pete’s premier new event space
After a full decade of careful restoration and renovation, a beautiful 100-year-old St. Pete building is ready for its public debut. Savant on Second, located at 634 2nd Avenue South is officially open as the Burg’s newest event space in one of its oldest buildings.
The sprawling indoor and outdoor venue covers 5,500 square feet of event area, with room for as many as 350 guests. The interior has unique features such as 20-foot-high ceilings with skylights hand painted by the internationally acclaimed artist Ya La’ford and original octagon tiles, which have been diligently restored.
Bob Glaser, President and CEO of Smith & Associates, led the restoration of the building personally, working with the City of St. Petersburg to complete the restoration. The restoration was carefully refined so that Tim Clemmons, esteemed architect of Place Architecture, was consulted at every change to ensure that construction respected the history yet appealed to the needs of the modern consumer. Ed Seifried Construction completed the building restoration.
