6 huge Earth Week events across St. Pete: cleanups, clothing swaps & food forests

The City of St. Petersburg has partnered with local organizations to introduce a series of events promoting sustainability, environmental consciousness, and community engagement during Earth Week. From April 20-27, residents and visitors are invited to participate in a series of activities designed to inspire action towards a greener and more sustainable future. The event schedule promises something for everyone, from educational tours and eco-friendly initiatives to outdoor adventures and family-friendly activities. With a focus on raising awareness and fostering a deeper connection to the environment, St. Pete’s Earth Week aims to empower individuals to make positive changes in their daily lives.

April 20: St. Pete Youth Farm Earth Day from 9am-1pm

Visit the St. Pete Youth Farm for a fun celebration of the one Earth we have and call home. There will be vendors, food, games, music, art activities, farm activities, and so much more. All are welcome.

St. Pete Youth Farm is located at 1664 12th St S.

April 20: Deuces Food Forest Garden Day from 10am-2pm

Tour the Deuces Food Forest and volunteer from 10am to 2pm. Participants should bring a water bottle and sun protection. Tours will start at 11am and 1pm. All ages are welcome. Register here. All participants must sign a waiver.

April 22: Earth Day Spring Cleaning Clothing Swap at Williams Park from 3pm-7pm

Join the City of St. Petersburg on Earth Day to upcycle your gently used household items and pick up something new! Register here.

These household items will be accepted and swapped at this event:

  • Women’s clothing
  • Men’s clothing
  • Kid’s clothing
  • Kid’s toys & games
  • Pet items (food must be unopened)
  • Kitchen items
  • Books
  • Tools
  • School items & supplies
  • Plants (seeds, seedlings)

Williams Park is located at 350 2nd Ave N.

April 27: Earth Week Cleanup at Tangerine Plaza from 9am-12pm

Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful and the City of St. Petersburg for a cleanup at Tangerine Plaza! Register here. Spots are limited so sign up soon.

Tangerine Plaza is located at 1794 22nd St S.

April 27: Gadgets 4 Good Drive from 10am-2pm

Community Tech House, partner in Digital Inclusion, Network will be tabling to collect used electronics for recycling at 3059 18th Ave. S. More info: https://communitytechhouse.com/

April 27-28: Green Thumb Festival at Walter Fuller Park from 9am-4pm

St. Petersburg’s annual Arbor Day Celebration, the Green Thumb Festival, brings together plant and flower lovers, as well as, individuals and families looking for a fun weekend activity. With more than 120 garden, plant and flower vendors and exhibitors, the annual event brings the community together for a weekend of fun.
