St. Petersburg residents can dispose of their live Christmas trees for free during a one-time, citywide collection from January 11 to February 10, 2025. To ensure your tree is picked up, place it at the curb or alley (where your trash is collected) by 7 a.m. on Saturday, January 11.
Collection guidelines for live trees
- Remove all decorations, including lights, ornaments, and tree stands. The City encourages reusing or donating these items to reduce waste.
- Do not place the tree in trash or recycling bins or lean it against poles or other objects.
- Trees must be placed outside by 7 a.m. on January 11.
It may take up to four weeks to collect all trees, so residents are asked for patience.
Missed the Pickup? If you miss the collection, you can request a special pickup after February 10 by visiting stpete.org/SpecialPickUp, using the SeeClickFix app, or calling 727-893-7398.
