The EDGE District’s first rooftop bar and restaurant, Sparrow (1234 Central Ave.), opens on December 20. The splashy establishment on the seventh floor of the newly opened Moxy Hotel is infused with “coastal elegance,” according to a press release.
The St. Pete date-night hub spans 4,000 square feet and features a marble-topped bar and an expansive outdoor patio overlooking Central Avenue. We are swooning over the green velvet booths.

“The Moxy St. Pete’s DNA is all about Central Avenue, the Edge District, and St. Petersburg—and Sparrow is a true reflection of what makes this area while also celebrating its bright future,” said Nicholas Pantuliano, partner, chief development officer, and chief operating officer, PTM Partners. “As the Edge District’s first true rooftop restaurant and lounge, Sparrow is a stunning space that will serve as the heart of the Edge District’s bustling nightlife.”
Honoring St. Pete’s artful spirit, “Dali’s Surrealist Dreams” mixes green tea vodka with passion fruit, Lillet Blanc, and a zesty lime twist, all balanced on the edge of a black salt-rimmed glass. For larger groups, the “Group Format” section features shareable, tableside cocktails. The menu also features local brews from Florida’s internationally leading craft beer scene and an enviable wine and bottle service list. As night falls, the lights dim, and the music rises, turning Sparrow into a vibrant, beverage-forward escape that embraces the evening’s lively pulse.
A surreal menu to explore in St. Pete with stunning views
“When we opened our first location in Fort Lauderdale, our goal was to create the dining and nightlife experience the destination had been searching for—and it remains a tremendous success amongst everyone who visits,” said Jake Wurzak, CEO of Wurzak Hotel Group. “We’re excited to bring that same energy and vision to St. Pete, adding a vibrancy that complements the unique spirit of this city. Sparrow stands as St. Pete’s new nexus, where the city’s artistic pulse meets innovative mixology, culinary arts, and fun.”
Menu highlights include mushroom, pork, and duck bao buns; Korean fried chicken tenders; Thai seared snapper; yellowtail ceviche tostada; and a selection of fresh sushi rolls, all to complement the rooftop’s lively social scene.
Sparrow is located on the seventh floor of Moxy St. Pete at 1234 Central Ave. It is open from 5:30 p.m. to midnight on Thursdays and 5:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Reservations are available on OpenTable and by calling 727-677-3000.
