Perhaps there is no greater reminder of the depths of the "great recession" to St. Petersburg than BayWalk. Yet, for its newest tenant Jim Janolek, the 2nd Ave N and 1st street corner of the shopping complex is home to his newfound livelihood, Lettuce Eat Healthy.
Early in his start up days, Janolek lost his apron on the way to his car. In it was a considerable amount of the day’s earnings from his veggie hot dog stand. Lucky for him, the right person found it.

Like many Americans, BayWalk MidCore security guard, Gary “Maddy” Maddox, does not have health insurance and that makes medication he takes related to surgery he had some years back very expensive. And while he admits he could use the money, keeping the found cash never crossed his mind.
“I believe in the rule of what comes around, goes around,” Maddy tells the Downtown St. Pete Page.
Janolek is eternally grateful to Maddy for finding and returning the money saying, “I sure am happy I live in St Petersburg. There are great people here doing extraordinary things, everyday. Maddy is one of them.”
