A new café is bringing “happy” coffee to St. Pete later this year. Scooter’s Coffee is now under construction at 9299 4th Street North, just south of the intersection with Gandy Blvd, with a “coming soon” sign promising caffeinated beverages taking over the property.

Beyond a promise for tasty coffee and freshly-prepared morning eats, the Scooter’s Coffee model is based on two primary things: service with a smile, and service you can get via drive-thru. The original Scooter’s was opened in Bellevue, Nebraska in 1998, and now has more than 600 of their small-footprint cafes across the country.

A community and quality-focused enterprise, Scooter’s takes great pride in its coffee farmers as well as the towns and cities its franchises support. “It’s these ties that make up the very fabric of our brand and capture the magical essence of who we are and what we stand for,” Scooter’s says.

As for the food and beverage side, Scooter’s churns out a lot of treats in its small footprint, with a wide range of hot and cold caffeinated beverages, teas, smoothies, and breakfast treats such as cinnamon rolls, maple waffle sandwiches, burritos, muffins, and bagel or ciabatta breakfast sandwiches.

In addition to hot and cold brewed coffee, Scooter’s dives deep on fun and flavorful lattes, such as the Candy Bar, Turtle, or Caramelicious lattes. Fruit smoothies and nearly a dozen varieties of hot or iced teas round out the drinks menu.
