Saturday Morning Market closed for foreseeable future

Saturday Morning Market closed for foreseeable future

One of the main highlights of any weekend in St. Petersburg, Florida is the Saturday Morning Market, one of the largest outdoor farmers markers in the southeast. The COVID-19 pandemic and mandates from local and state officials have caused The Saturday Morning Market to cancel for the foreseeable future.

This is a necessary precaution, and we applaud all of the business owners who continue to act vigilantly in the best interest of their customers, their employees and the Sunshine City. Just because the market is closed, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy local organic produce while supporting the farms that make this such a vibrant place to live.

Two market staples, Worden Farm and Little Pond Farm are both offering veggie box pickup services. You can learn more by visiting Little Pond’s and Worden Farm’s websites.

Little Pond Farm is sold out of veggie boxes until next week, but they still have greens boxes, turmeric and flowers available.

Kenwood’s Organic Produce is also still delivering boxes of healthy veggies to residents across the Sunshine City.

Additionally, locally run meal prep services like Rebuilt, with a warehouse in Ybor City, is offering full healthy meal delivery. This includes meals for kids, keto friendly meals, as well as Gluten-Free and Vegan plans. You can learn more on Rebuilt’s website and Facebook page.

St. Pete Ferments is also offering curbside delivery/pickup. Visit its website to order for pickup for raw fermented sauerkraut, kimchi and kombucha. St. Pete Ferment’s live cultured foods are ideal for immunity and last several months in refrigeration. You can pick up at the shop. Options are listed in the checkout form. The business also just added Queen and Colony Bee Company raw local honey to its online shop for curbside pickup. Their hyper local honey is unheated and unfiltered, and contains all the natural pollens and enzymes. Curbside pickup at St. Pete Ferments officially begins on Friday, March 20.
