Ricky P's is moving from its spot in the EDGE District (1113 Central Avenue) back to 4th Street. In a message written on July 7, Ricky P's owners announced they'd be opening up their Creole Kitchen in the spot formerly occupied by GoodFellas (11002 4th Street North). "It will be a bit smaller than the Central Avenue location, and bigger than our original Po Boy Shop, so we're thinking this will be just right!" Recent rent increases on the historic building in the popular district sparked the move. 

The new restaurant, Creole Kitchen, should be open by early August. You'll still be able to enjoy all of your staple favorites from Ricky P's in the EDGE for a few more weeks. Betty Fox Band will perform their final Third Thursday show at Ricky P's on July 21. They'll officially close their spot in the EDGE Distrct on Sunday, July 31. While the new spot is smaller, it offers ample parking and will give new residents a chance to experience Ricky P's bold flavors.
