Pinellas County’s transit system, PSTA, worked closely with the Pinellas Emergency Operations Center to aid emergency evacuations ahead of Hurricane Milton. PSTA resumed its Access service on Friday, October 11, at noon.

The agency urges riders to use the PSTA Access app for scheduling trips, as ongoing power and phone outages continue to challenge the availability of reservation agents.

In preparation for the storm, PSTA relocated its bus fleet to higher ground. Now, as the fleet returns to the bus yard, PSTA aims to restart fixed-route bus service on Saturday, October 12. While the team finalizes the necessary assessments, they expect to be ready for service this weekend. Riders should stay alert for any detours or route suspensions due to road conditions.

Additionally, PSTA Access and Mobility On Demand services are already back online and accepting ride requests. For further updates, visit psta.net/weather.
