Postcard Inn’s “Tinsel Town” is the ultimate Florida Christmas experience

A beach bar lit up for Christmas

The only things more iconic than Florida’s sandy beaches are its palm trees lit with Christmas lights sparkling over the water. This year, the Tinsel Town holiday pop-up at Postcard Inn on the Beach is the region’s ultimate “Christmas in Florida” experience.

The beloved beachfront hotel recently debuted Tinsel Town at its iconic beach bar, and we finally got to visit this week. With lights, ornaments, trees, and specials galore, the hotel has transformed its popular bar into a winter wonderland, all overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

While its photogenic qualities may be the initial draw for some visitors, it’s the food and drink specials that will keep guests staying all day and night. PCI has developed a list of 11 different holiday cocktails, from “Santagria” to the Mrs. Claus Cider, Mistletoe Mule, Polar Express, Santa’s Side Chick and more.

On the food side, PCI has rolled out some perfect holiday specials that will warm the heart (and stomach) of any Grinch. The most festive of the bunch is the Frost The Doughman Pretzel – a massive snowman-shaped baked pretzel served with beer cheese, mustard and watercress. We also got a taste of the cranberry thai chili smoked wings and came away highly impressed with the sweet-and-spicy combination.

**UPDATE: The below events have been postponed due to weather.

Tinsel Town is open daily and nightly at Postcard Inn, and if you’re planning a trip, we recommend stopping by on Sunday, December 17, which promises to be a big day on the beach. The hotel is hosting its annual Christmas Market on the beach from 12-6 pm, including live music at Tinsel Town.

And for your chance to see the big man (and eat like him too), they’re hosting a Brunch With Santa from 10 am – 2 pm. In addition to the chance for pictures with Ol’ St. Nick, the specialty menu will feature holiday items such as red velvet pancakes and a hot cocoa station. Learn more and get tickets here. Both the market and the Santa Brunch are family-friendly events, and dogs are welcome for pictures with Santa (there will even be dog treats available).

Also, Postcard Inn is hosting an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party on December 15, and a SantaCON on December 16. Each day, the best dressed will win a $400 gift card, as well as prizes for second and third place. More information here.
