Pizza, burgers and beer are making their way into one of downtown St. Pete’s most historic spaces. Pizza N’ Brew, a pizza and beer shop based locally, is opening a St. Pete location this summer on the ground floor of Hotel Detroit at 217 Central Avenue.
The restaurant promises New York style pizza by the pie or by the slice, as well as burgers, stromboli, calzones and salads. The menu also includes doughy and cheesy appetizers like cheese sticks, jalapeno poppers, Italian street fries, cheesy bread and meatballs. Additionally, a large selection of craft beers is expected to fill the bar alongside wine and a full liquor selection, including daily happy hours.

The Segreti family has been operating Pizza N’ Brew since its inception, using the same sauce and dough recipe that its patriarch Albert Segreti, Sr., developed back in 1959. Segreti moved to New York from Calibri, Italy, and his recipes have now been used by four generations of Segreti pizzaiolos. His signature marinara sauce is described as perfectly savory with hints of fresh basil and garlic.
Taking over the space previously occupied by Caddy’s, construction has been ongoing for months, and now St. Pete’s newest pizza joint is closing in on an opening date. The team behind Pizza N’ Brew has worked to showcase the building’s rich history, while also updating the indoor and outdoor bar and seating areas.
Pizza N’ Brew describes itself as having something for everyone, at any time.
