Rosey's Tacos Philadelphia

A two-day, tortilla-filled celebration of tacos, salsas and hot sauces is coming to the area this weekend. The 2nd Annual Pinellas Taco Fest takes place at England Brothers Park in Pinellas Park on Saturday and Sunday, January 28 and 29, from 10 am – 5 pm.

The massive festival is free to attend and includes a big lineup of local food trucks showcasing their best tacos and assorted dishes. In addition to all the tacos, there will also be a salsa competition, hot sauce competition and pepper eating contest. The festival features a market and live music both afternoons, as well as a taco competition in which guests vote for their favorite taco maker over the weekend.

The competition for “Tampa Bay’s best taco” will have winners in multiple protein categories, including chicken, beef, and pork. The hot sauce competition takes place on Sunday afternoon as local amateur and professional salsa makers vie for the top prize.

“Get ready for an exciting weekend filled with an assortment of tacos, delicious indulgences, and tasty competitions all while being entertained by live bands on stage,” the event page says. “We’ve gathered the best local food trucks for the ultimate taco experience featuring rich, enchanting combinations of flavor, color and texture that leave your taste buds craving more.”

Organizers say the event will showcase dozens of local food trucks, drink vendors and artisans from around the Tampa Bay Area. England Brothers Park is located at 5010 81st Avenue North in Pinellas Park. Parking is free, as well, and admission is open to all ages. More information on the schedule of events can be found on Pinellas Taco Fest’s facebook page.
