Families are invited to hop down to the St. Pete Pier this Sunday for a massive Easter egg hunt by the bay. More than 5,000 colorful eggs will be hidden as part of what promises to be an egg-citing day filled with games and activities, the prize-filled egg hunt and a visit from the Easter bunny.
The inaugural Easter egg hunt takes place from 1-4 pm on Sunday, April 17 at the St. Pete Pier’s Family Park. The event is free and open to children 10 years of age and younger.

Among the thousands of hidden eggs, 12 special golden eggs will be filled with big prizes, including a $100 gift card to Astro Craft Ice Cream, a free membership to the St. Pete Museum of History Family, a gift basket courtesy of Doc Ford’s and goodies from Teak. Furthermore, the Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center will hide 12 eco-friendly paper eggs filled with unique prizes.
Families will enjoy meet-and-greet and photo opportunities with the Easter bunny along with vendors such as Hyppo Gourmet Popsicles and Glitters & Giggles for face painting, balloon arts and more.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own baskets or bags for collecting. For those who can’t wait to dig into their eggs, specially marked bins will be available throughout Family Park for visitors to dispose of the unwanted “egg shells” which will be reused and recycled.
