A new family-run spaghetti and meatballs joint has opened off of 4th Street North, and already the fast-casual Italian restaurant is getting rave reviews. Pasghetti, opened by Olivia and Ken Bell is now dishing out plates of spaghetti, meatball subs, and much more at 229 62nd Avenue North.
The menu is simple, though the process to create it was anything but. The Bells spent 10 year perfecting their red sauce and meatball recipes, and have finally opened up a spot to share them with the city. As one would imagine, the spaghetti and meatballs plate is the star of the menu.

In addition to that classic, Pasghetti also serves up what has quickly become a highly-praised meatball sub, a fresh hoagie filled with homemade meatballs, Pasghetti sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese. Pasghetti also offers antipasto and garden salads, gelato (another item earning rave reviews), “Gulf Coast Toast,” and of course, meatballs on their own.
The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, as well as beer, wine and sangria to sip on while dining. Pasghetti is open daily for lunch dinner, starting at 11 am every day.
Alongside the secret family recipe for their red sauce, Pasghetti is proud of its meatball recipe, as well. The restaurant promises “no filler” in their tender meatballs, made with fresh herbs, special seasonings, and a 50/50 blend of premium pork and beef.
Pasghetti quickly earning rave reviews
The restaurant just opened at the end of September and we haven’t yet had a chance to try it ourselves, but the early reviews seem to confirm the Bells’ confidence in their perfected sauce and meatball recipes. In fact, a quick scan of Google reviews shows a 4.7-star rating, with a bevy of five-star comments.
“Best meatballs in Pinellas County,” one Google reviewer said. “Go for the meatballs, but don’t leave without trying the gelato.”
Said another: “The meatball sub was awesome. I definitely will be getting another and spreading the word.”
“Best meatball sub ever,” said yet another. “The meatballs are so tender and flavorful!
And finally, one satisfied customer left a glowing review on the restaurant: “My new favorite fast-casual spot in St. Pete! Came for the spaghetti… will be returning for the gelato!”
