Moon by Malio’s, the newest restaurant from the Malio’s group, is opening Thursday, October 8, inside the Berkeley Beach Club Hotel.
While there’s still plenty to be revealed about the new spot, we know Moon by Malio’s is bringing elegant coastal cuisine to the beloved boutique hotel at 109 8th Avenue. The restaurant promises a menu with “bright coastal flavors, beautiful seafood, handmade pastas and dishes made for long evenings in Pass-a-Grille.”

Moon by Malio’s is part of the growing Malio’s brand, which includes Malio’s Prime Steakhouse in Tampa and Malio’s Beach House, which opened early last year on St. Pete Beach. Known for its classic steakhouse fare, the brand is taking a slightly different direction with this new concept, giving the team a chance to get creative with lighter, seafood-inspired dishes that feel right at home on the beach.
The opening is especially exciting for the Berkeley Beach Club. The restaurant space inside the hotel was formerly home to The Dewey, a cherished wine bar and seafood restaurant that sadly closed after sustaining damage from the hurricanes in fall 2024. Now, the space is getting a new chapter and bringing a little more hospitality back to the beaches.
