Metro Inclusive Health to begin offering COVID-19 vaccine incentive in Tampa Bay area

Updated August 25, 2021

Adding to its expansive vaccination campaign, Metro Inclusive Health has just announced it will begin to offer $25 gift cards to anyone 12 years of age or older who gets a dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at one of their locations. Teaming up with community partners throughout the area, Metro Inclusive Health is aiming to make vaccines as accessible as possible for everyone in Tampa Bay.

Not only is METRO offering the $25 dollar gift card, but they are providing free rides to any of their four clinics where unvaccinated Floridians can either schedule an appointment or receive a walk-in vaccination during operating hours. Through a partnership with Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, METRO will also bring mobile vaccines to home games for the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday, August 20 and Friday, September 17 at Tropicana Field, and to the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Friday, September 3 at Al Lang Stadium. Simply show up to the game, get your shot, and get $25.

As part of their campaign to combat vaccine hesitancy and help Tampa Bay stay healthy, Metro Inclusive Health pointed out the numbers showing how well the vaccines will help prevent worst-case scenarios if one becomes infected. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has indicated that 99.5% of recent COVID-19 related deaths could have been prevented with a vaccine.
