Florida’s iconic Pink Palace, The Don CeSar, officially reopened after six months of restoration following back‑to‑back hurricanes. Turning lemons into lemonade, the beloved 97‑year‑old hotel has not only been restored but enhanced. The phased reopening grants access to many of The Don CeSar’s signature spaces while the ground‑level areas are further enhanced.
As of March 28, here’s what’s available:

- Society Table is temporarily located within Martiana (each restaurant concept will return to its original location mid-summer).
- Lobby Bar, which serves fresh morning coffee and evening cocktails.
- The Spa, Beachfront relaxation, and access to the pool and beach.
- Fitness center (including group classes).
- In-room and poolside dining and overnight stays.

Enhancements to be unveiled by this summer
All renovations should be completed by the summer. The newly designed ballroom—set to be available for bookings in early 2026—will serve as a premier venue for events, meetings, and special celebrations. The remaining dining outlets—including Society Table, Uncle Andy’s Market, and The Rowe Bar—will also be unveiled, as will the resort’s shopping boutiques.
“With nearly 100 years of history, The Don CeSar has long been a symbol of resilience, luxury, and hospitality on Florida’s Gulf Coast,” said Barbara Readey, general manager at The Don CeSar. “Our team has worked tirelessly to restore and enhance this treasured landmark, ensuring that guests can continue to create unforgettable memories for generations to come.”

Historic landmark on St. Pete Beach
Since its grand opening in 1928, The Don CeSar has been an icon of luxury and sophistication. Originally designed as a lavish retreat for the elite, the hotel quickly became a favorite destination for celebrities, dignitaries, and socialites—including F. Scott Fitzgerald, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Clarence Darrow. During World War II, it served as a hospital for recovering airmen before being restored to its former glory as a premier beachfront resort.
Through the decades, The Don CeSar has remained a beloved landmark, blending historic charm with modern elegance to offer an unparalleled guest experience. Its latest revival not only marks a triumphant return but reinforces its role as a cornerstone of Florida’s tourism industry.
