Maghan Morin opened Melanated Beauty Spa in downtown St. Pete (780 4th Ave S) nearly one year ago. This sanctuary, born from Morin’s initial concept in Miami, embodies her vision of creating an inclusive space for all skin types, particularly for people of color.
Maghan’s journey is deeply personal. From ages 14 to 28, she battled cystic acne, often leaving spas feeling sad and emotional due to their lack of knowledge about her skin type. This struggle inspired her to create a place where people of color could feel seen and understood.

Returning to her hometown of St. Pete after five years in Miami, Maghan wanted to give back to her community. Reflecting on her upbringing, she shared, “Growing up in St. Pete, I was always the only person of color among my peers and would see their parents indulge in services like it’s second nature, and I never saw that within my family. I’m deserving of that.”
