A local cult-favorite food truck has made the move that so many dream of – becoming a brick-and-mortar restaurant. Los Homies Taqueria has officially opened its doors at 7625 49th Street North in Pinellas Park, bringing street tacos and authentic Mexican eats to the neighborhood.
While the tacos get the headlines at Los Homies, the full menu runs deep with traditional dishes, Mexican specialties, and heaping platters of hot food. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner every day, serving up the good stuff from 10 am – 10 pm Monday-Sunday.

Los Homies Taqueria celebrated the grand opening with a ribbon cutting in April, and the restaurant is already popping up on must-try lists when searching for great Mexican fare. The food is inspired largely by the culinary traditions of Mexico’s Victoria City, located in northeast Mexico at the foot of the Sierra Madre Oriental.
Street tacos are only $2.50 each (or $1.50 on Taco Tuesdays) and come in birria, bistec, pollo, and pastor varieties. Appetizers include guacamole, cheese dip, nachos, and esquite. From there, the lengthy menu offers up a full list of burritos, gorditas, fajitas, enchiladas, soups and desserts. For some regional specialties, try out the Flautas Victoria or Burritos Victoria.
There are also several larger platters and plates, ranging from chiles relleno and pollo asado, to kebabs, chimichangas, quesabirria, and a full half dozen seafood dishes. There is also a full kids menu available.
