Little Free Libraries make access to wonderful works of literature for kids and adults more accessible. For cinephiles who still have a Blu Ray/DVD player, a similar concept, Little Free Blockbuster, has arrived in the Sunshine City at Kingston St. N, Between 34th and 36th Avenues.
Free Blockbuster is a nonprofit organization that promotes neighborhood movie exchanges. There are over 160 of these boxes across the United States. Typically, these mini movie shops are made by upcycling abandoned newspaper distribution boxes.

St. Pete’s Little Free Blockbuster was founded by Angela Anderson on February 9, 2023. The location features movies for kids and adults, and donations/exchanges are always welcome. These hubs feature VHS tapes and DVDs, video games, music, reels of film, VCRs, DVD players, and more. It’s meant to be a public good for the entire neighborhood.
Little Free Blockbuster provides entertainment for all
Movies in the library have included Serpico, Dodgeball, The Dark Knight, Capote, Mad Max, The Lego Movie, and more. You can follow the nonprofit on Facebook for any updates on inventory changes.
The community oriented concept was founded by Brian Morrison in California back in 2018, and has since exploded in popularity. You can look into setting up your own Free Blockbuster online.
