Karma Juice Bar makes the best açaí bowl in St. Petersburg — and it has locations throughout the Tampa Bay region now. The extraordinarily popular juice, smoothie, acai, pitaya, and now matcha bowl concept has been a major hit inside Baum Avenue Market. It’s a vibrant, and healthy snack that can kickstart your day, or add a bit of sweetness to your evening routine.
Its resplendent array fresh pastries (many of which are vegan and gluten-free), its fresh juices (you have to try the Blackberry Mint Lemonade), and the totally divine multi-topping smoothie bowls have made it daily staple for St. Petersburg residents.

Fresh açaí, pitaya, and matcha bases
The bases for the celebrated açaí, pitaya, and matcha bowls are made fresh in house. It may take a bit longer for the bowl to be prepared, but that’s how you know what you’re ordering is fresh. On my custom pitaya bowl, chunks of dragon fruit, banana, blueberries, and strawberries were heaped on top. I may or may not pair that with one of the Manu GF baked goods available — the pumpkin coffee cake is exceptional!
Karma Juice Bar & Eatery was established in 2015 by mother-daughter duo, Josie Barber and April Lupkey. These two women had one thing in mind: to bring flavorful, health-conscious meals to the Tampa Bay Area.
Karma has grown from a small juice bar and acai shop to a full restaurant offering a lovingly curated and ever-evolving menu packed with nutrient dense foods.
2 new locations in St. Petersburg
Earlier in 2020, Karma opened a second location in the Sunshine City. Karma joined forces with the Racquet Club of St. Pete at 170 47th Avenue NE. Those a bit further down on 4th Street North are in for a serious treat.
It’s all about the base.
Here are three bowls you need to try on your next visit to Karma:
Brainiac: acai base topped with gluten free granola, banana, blueberries, pumpkin seeds, raisins, chia seeds, and a honey drizzle
Matcha: matcha base, mango, orange, strawberry, coconut flakes, almond, granola, honey
Pitaya: pitaya base (dragon fruit), gluten free granola, banana, mango, kiwi, coconut, almonds, and a honey drizzle
Treat yourself to a sweet power bowl
The power bowl is also a must-try. It features housemade nut butter, slice banana, chocolate, almonds, honey and gluten-free granola.
Karma has also begun offering full charcuterie boards for order.
