Clearwater’s oldest Indian restaurant is now St. Pete Beach’s newest hot spot for authentic Indian eats. Indian Bistro just opened at 4785 Gulf Boulevard in the Publix shopping center across from the public St. Pete Beach access area.
The longtime Clearwater staple has made St. Pete Beach its second outpost, showcasing its popular menu of curries, biryani, soups, breads, samosas and more. Promising a “warm Indian restaurant serving aromatic Punjabi specialties,” Indian Bistro has quickly earned rave reviews inside the cozy space on Gulf Blvd, thanks to a staff with more than 50 combined years of experience in crafting Indian cuisine.

Indian Bistro is open daily for lunch and dinner, operating 11:30 am – 9:30 pm every day with a massive menu of tasty breads, appetizers, kebabs, sides, desserts, and a wide range of both vegan and non-vegan entrees. Reviews from the first three weeks of operation regularly cite large portions, and the garlic naan, tikka masala, and samosa as must-try items. Note that there are only five tables inside, so it can get full quick, but the menu is also available for takeout.
“This is our second visit to Indian Bistro and it is fast becoming our favorite restaurant,” one reviewer said. “The service is outstanding, the food is delish … Chef Abhi came out to introduce himself and you can tell how much love is put into each dish.”
Said another: “Would give six stars if I could, best Indian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at.”
