Humane Society of Pinellas opens new adoption center to save thousands more animals annually

The Humane Society of Pinellas opened the new Sjouwerman Adoption Center (3040 State Road 590 in Clearwater).

This new center enhances the capacity for potential adoptions to 2,800-3,000 annually and improves the Humane Society’s pet care and adoption experiences with this state-of-the-art building.

It also dramatically expands the Humane Society’s ability to care for most needy animals. The new center is a hurricane-rated Category 5 building that provides quality of life. 

The organization held a special grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on December 14. Those wanting to donate to the Humane Society and support their ongoing efforts can do so online
