The Humane Society of Pinellas opened the new Sjouwerman Adoption Center (3040 State Road 590 in Clearwater).
This new center enhances the capacity for potential adoptions to 2,800-3,000 annually and improves the Humane Society’s pet care and adoption experiences with this state-of-the-art building.

It also dramatically expands the Humane Society’s ability to care for most needy animals. The new center is a hurricane-rated Category 5 building that provides quality of life.
The organization held a special grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on December 14. Those wanting to donate to the Humane Society and support their ongoing efforts can do so online.
