A new development is bringing a houseboat resort to Blind Pass Marina, and St. Pete Beach staple Sea Hag’s is sticking around with the new owners.
A houseboat resort is reportedly coming soon to St. Pete Beach thanks to the recent $5.2 million sale of Sea Hags Bar & Grill and the Blind Pass Marina. The property was purchased by Ping Pong Partners, according to St. Pete Catalyst, the same group that founded Station House and Cordova Inn in Downtown St. Pete.

Perhaps the best news is that the longtime local favorite Sea Hag’s has already signed a lease with the new owners, meaning that the waterfront bar and grill will keep serving up fresh catch and cold drinks to beachgoers year-round.
The houseboat resort could provide up to 65 units and was proposed to the City of St. Pete Beach back in the summer. Now that construction is being finished on replacement sewer lines, the city has lifted its moratorium on new developments in the area and several large projects are expected to begin over the next year.
