You love to see it. A wildly popular food truck, Heavy’s, is setting roots in the Sunshine City. Heavy’s is ubiquitous. The owners find a way to haul the truck to festivals, events (public and private), and provide general catering services to residents throughout the region. Now, Heavy’s is opening a take out restaurant to satisfy its eager diners.
Soul Food arriving in South St. Pete
The philosophy behind the food truck is to provide diners with hearty meals that are also affordable. Heavy’s menu includes homey options like turkey wings, meatloaf, hearty fried pork chops, pork chitterlings, and oxtails. The owners consider Heavy’s to be a soul food extravaganza.

Heavy’s new take out spot will be located at 911 22nd Street South. An official opening date is still TBA, but you can follow Heavy’s on Facebook and its website for official updates.
