Hanabi (8822 State Rd. 52) recently opened in Hudson and is already earning rave reviews online. This spot offers a selection of expertly crafted sushi rolls, generous bowls of soul-warming ramen, and sizzling hibachi (fire bowl) dishes.

The owners of Hanabi state that they “seek to provide quality food at affordable prices to create the greatest value for all customers that step foot into our restaurant.” They continue, “our team believes in making food that not only tastes delicious but is also fulfilling from a superb customer service experience.”

Fare from around Asia

While Hanabi offers all the quintessential staples, its extensive menu includes Asian and Asian-fusion cuisine from various regions, such as Pad Thai, Bento Boxes, Lo Mein, and Thai Curry. One of the most striking and unique items on the menu is the deep-fried sushi rolls.

Deep-fried sushi rolls may sound like the sort of preposterous food item you’d encounter at a state fair (like the debut of deep-fried butter some years ago), but this crunchy take on a Japanese classic is a welcomed option. If you are in the mood for deep-fried sushi, you cannot go wrong with the Godzilla Roll—made with salmon, avocado, and cream cheese, deep-fried and served with spicy mayo and eel sauce. The Godzilla Roll is also the most affordable deep-fried option, priced at only $12 per roll.
