The Grand Prix 5K on the Racetrack is one of the coolest opportunities in St. Pete

The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding is always one of the biggest events of the year in the Sunshine City, and as we always say: it’s much more than a race. Over the course of the four days of events taking over downtown, it’s a veritable festival, offering much more than just the spectacle of elite speedsters racing through the streets of St. Pete.

Celebrating its 20th annual running, the 2024 Grand Prix has an absolute wealth of events surrounding the races, highlighted by a Bret Michaels concert literally in the middle of the action on Saturday night, as well as the annual 5K taking place along the track the day before races begin. You can see the weekend’s full event schedule here (and get tickets while you’re there), including all race times. Highlights of the non-race events are below.
