The girls are back! Sort of.

New school Florida is beloved for craft beer, and old school Florida was known nationwide for those four wonderful women – The Golden Girls. A celebration in St. Pete is bringing the two together, as Bayboro Brewing is hosting a Golden Girls extravaganza in its tasting room this Saturday, July 30.

The all-day party is an excuse to raise a glass in remembrance and celebration of the four famous Floridian friends, as well as the actresses who played them. As part of the festivities, Bayboro will be playing Golden Girls episodes throughout the day, and anyone who comes to the brewery dressed in character will receive a free beer. Stay tuned for beer specials and more activities featuring the fabulous foursome.

Admission to the event is free, and the pet-friendly brewery is open to all ages. Pairing craft beer with the Golden Girls is a perfectly St. Pete combination, so break out the shoulder pads, the pantsuits, the floral print, and all the flowy satin you can find. Come as Blanche, Rose, Dorothy, Sophia, or any other Golden Girls-inspired character and enjoy the festivities. Plus, enjoy live music from Danielle Mohr in the beer garden starting at 6 pm.

Bayboro Brewing, a breakout star in St. Pete’s brewing scene, has a fantastic selection of beer, cider and seltzer in its tasting room at 2390 5th Avenue South, plus a full kitchen (the fried chicken sandwich is outstanding) and a shaded beer garden.
